Thirteen Tales of Love and Revenge by The Pierces definitely makes it into my top ten records of all time. If the EPs that The Pierces have released so far this year are any indication their follow up record You & I released May 30th it's shaping up to to be up there along side it.
I can’t tell you how much I love the single You’ll Be Mine, the video was released the day I went to see them for the first time when they played Bush Hall earlier this year. I ripped it off YouTube* and played it on repeat till I got there so I’d know it, you know, just in case one of them were sick and I had to step in...
Needless to say that didn’t happen but it was a magic night none the less. They performed like the daughters Stevie Nicks never had. I’ve since tried to persuade my sister into forming The Jones' with me but she was having none of it. So I’ll continue to live out my rock n’ roll dreams vicariously through The Pierces. The world's loss is the shower and my car's gain.
*I’ve since purchased the You'll Be Mine EP totally legally!
